Plastic surgery nothing to be ashamed of

Lately the news has been all talk about whether women should be ok with growing old accepts what age has done to them and simply say no to plastic surgery. In this talk about women who are 50 and 60 years old they also make it clear that women of this age group feel guilty for noticing the superficial things and are ashamed that they could probably name a procedure or two they would undergo if it was possible that no one would know. They feel guilty because in the time of their mothers and grandmothers these plastic surgeries weren’t everyday talk like they are now and mother and grandmother were said not to need such ridiculous things. Although it makes no sense that a woman of this age should feel guilty over plastic surgeries when plenty young girls around the world and in places like Orange County, breast implants are an every day thing. It couldn’t be more to women of 60 years old that 60 is not the new 40 its still 60.

In Orange County plastic surgeons agree that these surgeries were thought of with age in mind. Age does not discriminate it gets everyone and everyone will look in a mirror one day and no longer recognize the face. Psychiatrists say that this can hurt and bother a woman as much as a financial lost. If this can be that worrisome to a woman why should she feel guilty in wanting or getting plastic surgery? Dr. Vivian Diller and Dr. Jill Muir-sukenick wrote a book title “face it” the book deals with this very topic. Their book contains stories of women who found little things about their face and body bothering them and feeling guilty about wanting plastic surgeries and encourages its readers not to jump in but sit and think first.

In “face it” there is a story of a woman named Katherine (name was changed) who was for the most part against plastic surgery because she felt she had much greater things to worry about. Katherine found herself completely opting out of a beach getaway with her husband because she was completely uncomfortable with being in bathing suit. She realized that as a young girl like most other young girls in her home she was taught that caring about your looks were superficial.

When young girls are taught this as they grow to care they begin to feel guilty for caring as if it makes them superficial inside to care. This can not be farther from the truth a woman can manage to apply anti aging, anti wrinkling cream and/or visit a spa every so often and not be superficial. When it comes to the age where you see everything sag and wrinkle give it thought first and then decide what it is you want to see when you look in a mirror. For most women in this age group of around the world including Orange County Breast augmentation they’re afraid to admit they want. It embarrassing for a woman of that age to admit that a breast lift could do her justice, maybe back in her mothers’ day but not today.
